This bowl was hand thrown and trimmed on the potters wheel. It was then salt/soda fired in reduction to cone 10, as it cooled microcrystals were formed provided by the slow cooling of a hard brick kiln. The last picture is of the bowl placed over a light bulb, here you can see the translucency of the porcelain showing the signiture in the bottom of the cup and the microcrystals "floating" in the the glaze. The character of this bowl is a combination of Wood Ash and Shino Glaze and a Soda/Salt mixture that is released into the atmosphere of the klln during peak temperatures of firing.

Pottery Glazes used on this ceramic dishware are food, microwave and dishwasher safe.
